Dorothy A Morris

Passed away peacefully at Bristol Heights Assisted Living in Coeur d' Alene, ID of natural causes on August 25, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Dorothy was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 13, 1925. Her parents being Edward F. Donnelly and Alma Rose Donnelly (Cousineau). She attended kindergarten and half way through 3rd grade at Marshall Spring Elementary School on Elmwood Avenue in Watertown, Massachusetts. She completed the 3rd grade through 9th at St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School. From there she went to live with her aunt, Genny Giordano so she could attend Natick High School and be with her friends. Dorothy married our father, Eugene Thomas Morris August 13, 1943, 2 months after she graduated from Natick High School. They stayed happily married until dad's death in 1981. Tthey produced 2 daughters, Sandra Jean Dicksen (Alan) and Linda Jean Stotts (William, deceased). Dorothy had 3 grandchildren, Lorinda Elizabeth Daley (deceased); Patricia Marie Oliver and Michael Thomas Dicksen. Dorothy worked many years as Dr. Dermot P. McHenry's head nurse in Los Alamitos, CA, which she enjoyed very much. Our hearts are deeply wounded by her passing but we know she is in Jesus' arms now. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 4:00:-6:00pm at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary Chapel, and a funeral mass on Thursday, September 6 at 10 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Long Beach, CA.
