Lorraine Bernadine Bourassa

Lorraine was born on May 15, 1921 in Sioux City, Iowa and passed away on August 7, 2010 in Long Beach. She moved to Long Beach and married her hometown sweetheart on January 16, 1943. Once her children were grown, her professional career began at Bullock's Department Store where she worked for 18 years as an auditor, retiring in 1983. After her long struggle with Alzheimer's, she is now at peace with our Lord. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin; three children, Renee, Gary and Erin; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Boyd; and sister, Jean Butler. Visitation will be held Tuesday (today) at 4 pm until rosary at 6 pm, both at the mortuary chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at 11 am at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
