Marvel Bond

Marvel Bond, well-known lady of Long Beach. Loved and admired for her kindness to everyone. She was always active with children's Blue Birds and Cub Scouts, civic activities or charitable groups. She passed away gently June 13, 2011. She grew up in the small town of Salina, Utah, but graduated from Long Beach Poly High. Later marrying former Long Beach City Councilman Bert Bond. She and Bert took over the family business of Bond's Home Appliances in Long Beach in 1942, where she worked every day for over 65 years, right until her passing. She was dearly loved by her three children, Ken, Sue and Mike; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
