My deepest condolences to all my brothers & sister's in law, my Brady side of the family, nephews & nieces, etc. in the great loss of our dearest and most beloved Mary Ellen Brady, 92 yrs. old., my wonderful mother-in-law., mother of 11 children, 23 grandchildren, 22+ great grandchildren. Jesus promised those who mourn will be comforted, I am certain, Grandpa was there to greet Grandma Brady, just 2 yrs after he passed. She is now in the beatific vision of Our Heavenly Father. Her great character, humor, multi-talents, painting, crocheting, cooking, calligraphy, ect., will remain with us always. But most of all, how both Mary Ellen & Norman, loved each one of us, as if we were their only one, great examples of how God loves us. I am comforted knowing what great joy & reward you are being embraced with by Our Heavenly Father, for all the good you did not only for your family, but for strangers as well. I love you, Mom, and I thank you for being the glue to our family, for so long.
Mary Ellen was devoted for many years volunteering work at http://www.preciouslifeshelter.org / and went to give Holy Communion to the sick.

Grandma Brady, thinking of you often.  Missing you and missing being able to call you and any chance to visit you. 

I had forgotten to share a story at Grandma Brady's funeral on Aunt Mary Frances's behalf of a time when Aunt Mary Frances was helping Grandma Brady getting settled in bed.  Grandma was having trouble going to sleep and asked Aunt Mary Frances why Dad had left her.  So what did Grandma Brady and Aunt Mary Frances do?  They prayed, they sang, and Grandma went to sleep.  
I do wish, Grandma, that I had spent at least one night with you while you were alone.

For me of course, the following poem applies to my first steps in marriage to your son, Chuck. But for all your 11 children, I'm sure they could not agree more with this:  "When I look back upon my life, no matter when or where,      at every age and step and stage, 
Mom, you were always there…
You made me feel so safe, so loved,    your kindness meant so much,               
I still can hear your words of cheer       
and feel your gentle touch...              
When I'd set out to bring about        some special dream or plan,                
your pride in me was plain to see—        
you were my biggest fan...                 
You'd hang in there to help me bear    the stresses and the stings            and always know when to let go        so I could try my wings..."                
And now you rest in the peace amongst the heavenly angels wings.           
"I feel your loving care               in the deepest part of my grateful heart…", for "Someone so much a part of us is never realy gone."
Mom, you will always be there in our hearts, in our stories of remembrances of how you loved & made us laugh! Till we joyfully meet again! I wonder if souls paint in heaven, if they do, wow...Mom must have some beautiful ones...  :-)
