I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tod   I remember such fun times growing up in our neighborhood with Tod.  I am praying for you!

Tod,
I didn’t want to believe this news when I first heard it. It was like a shot straight to the gut. I immediately thought back to our many conversations that would take place at different hours of the day or night discussing magic and writing. Our most recent had only been a few weeks prior while I was performing in Utah, and you gave me your parting encouragement to “tear the roof off the joint” as you often would. 

You were always kind-hearted and caring. Plus, your dry sense of humor was sublime. I always looked forward to nights that I was working the Castle when you would be the host. I miss you, my friend.

Tod, I am beyond heartbroken. You were one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and your humor was unparalleled. Our code phrase was “it’s like a sauna in here“ mimicking a woman who sat at the Palace bar.

Tod you will always be in my heart. You have a beautiful soul, watch over all of us.

Tod was such a bright spot in my Magic Castle experience - his humor, his good nature.  He was a genuinely good person, and the  talks we had about our lives meant a lot to me.  I will miss you, Tod.  

Tod, you have been a light in my life. I remember us sitting and chatting at the Magic Castle for hours. I remember us chatting on the phone and just talking about life. I will miss you so much.

Tod was such an amazing person with great humor. I am beside myself with the news of his passing! 

He had a very magical family and we all loved Tod!

I knew Tod from the Magic Castle. Does anyone know how he died? 

I LOVED seeing Tod at the Magic Castle. When he was working I knew I’d have a good time, hear some Disney stories or just share a few laughs. He was so supportive of all the magicians working there. I’ll miss him.

Tod was one of my favorite human beings. So fun, loving, a true gentleman and friend. He always found a way to make you smile when  you needed it most.

I will miss our late night chats, our discussions about life, our ups and downs, and his guidance and support.

I will miss his sensitivity, his big heart, and his compassion and love for others.

Tod was amazing. He was funny, sarcastic and caring. He will be forever missed...words can’t describe how much he meant to me. We would just chat for hours on end...every week or so. He would probably deny it, but he was a teddy bear...he cared so much for his friends. I can’t believe he’s gone...truly. I have no words. Ever since i heard the news...I would wake up and be like, “dammit Tod...you better not be watching me!”

I had the pleasure of working with Tod at Disneyland in the late '80s / early '90s. I always knew that if Tod was on the crew, it was going to be a good day. He was one of the funniest people I have ever known.

Over the years, Tod and I had kept in touch. I loved receiving messages from him, about anything that was on his mind. He was always interested in projects I was working on, or my work on the Queen Mary, or sharing stories of his time at the Magic Castle. I will miss those chats deeply.

On one of our last chats, he asked me out of the blue if I ever had a mentor at Disneyland. I didn't have any one specific, but certainly had many role models, and I told him he was one of them. He seemed genuinely touched by that. I meant it. Tod was always an inspiration to me.

Tod was one of best people I  have had the privilege of meeting and working  with. He has touched  so many  live and he probably doesn't know how much he meant to everyone. I hope he has found the peace and realized how much he was loved.

Tod in memoriam:

He was a kind gentleman of great wit and wisdom...a man who wore his heart on his sleeve...And somehow we all sensed his vulnerability and protected it with expressions of unconditional love and support.  He had a great group of  loyal friends who enjoyed his brand of humor and quick wit, and happily engaged his rhetorical postings with an almost deft exuberance. Tod was interested and well-versed in a variety of topics- both Disney-related and otherwise..He was truly an  unpretentious,  introspective renaissance man who was happy to share ideas in a friendly, unassuming and non-threatening way. What a sweetheart of a human being he really was! It was an honor to know and converse with his kind heart and humble sensibilities...
We were all lucky to have known such a gentle soul. 

Thank God for the Facebook platform that give us some form of access to him in the last few years...

I fondly remember when we messaged one another- he always had such a kind word for me...and I never felt  I deserved his brotherly reverence. Never. 

But now I miss it more than ever...

Tod was always a joy to work with.  When I saw his name on the break sheet, I knew it was going to be a good day.  He had a silly lovable quality that was appreciated by so many!  My condolences to the family and his close friends.  This news was just devastating.  💔

My condolences to Tod’s family and all who were blessed to have known him.  His  wit and sense of humor brightened anyone’s day and made coming to work an absolute  joy. You will be dearly missed, my friend. 



Tod was loved and admired by many of his Disney and magician family. His witty charm was entertaining, welcoming and inclusive. When I was trained on Monorail, he created a welcome environment when others hadn't.  I am forever grateful for his friendship. He brought the fun with his silliness and intelligent humor. Tod was a joy to work with and kept ties on social media after he ended his disney job. Several disney friends followed him  on social media. l personally loved to read the Disney insights he often shared. His death is heartbreaking. He is missed and loved. 

I know the burial process is difficult and expensive.  Please let me know if there is a way to offer donations to help ease the financial burden. Prayer and love for Tod. 

My deepest condolences to your family. As part of  Tod's Disney family  he was deeply loved. His sense of humor was priceless as well as his generosity.  Tod will be missed dearly.

Translation" Excuse me, do you speak Spanish?"
Inside joke. Tod trained me on Captain EO ; and because of his patience and humor i got past not being embarrassed to speak in front on the podium or under the spotlight.  FOREVER in our hearts Cuuummee, until we meet again.
