Funeral services for Audie Wayne Moore, 81, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Audie was born, August 14, 1929, in Big Sandy, Texas, to Olen and Annie Foster Moore, and passed away on June 26, 2011, in Gilmer, Texas.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving in the Korean War. He retired from Gilmer Pottery, was a farmer and loved the great outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Watson Moore and Preston Moore; and a sister, Mae Von Jones. He is survived by his sons, David W. Moore and wife Jeanne; Kenneth Moore; tony D. Moore and wife Marie; and Scott Moore; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister Rose Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
