Deeann Michelle Rountree

Deeann was born on March 26, 1970 in Longview, Texas to Debbie Landwehr and Richard Conway. She was raised in Tatum, Texas and graduated from Tatum High School in 1988. She married Bret Rountree in 2018 and the couple had 3 children. 

In Deeann's spare time, she loved to watch her sons rodeo, play football and baseball. She loved either being at a rodeo or watching them on TV, spending time with family eating, bowling, or just having a drink and listening to some live music. She loved spending time with her horses, sharing treats with and just loving them. She loved late night runs to Whataburger and just sitting in the truck to have a sweet treat and watching a movie. She will always be remembered as a rodeo mom that pushed her rodeo family to be the best they could be; she wanted the best for everyone. She was a loving mom that put everything first over her own needs no matter what she had going on in her own life. Deeann was a person that was there to help and lend a helping hand, and she was a wonderful and fun-loving person that could make you laugh.

Deeann is preceded in death by: grandparents, Morris and Ruthie Mae Conway, and Don Freeman; uncles Kenneth Conway and Terry Ridings. 

Deeann is survived by: sons, Brayden Edney, Race Rountree, and Remington Rountree; husband, Bret Rountree; mother, Debbie (Roger) Landwehr; father, Richard Conway; sister, Ryane (Jake) Gosschalk and niece Hazel Gosschalk; brother, Darren Conway; grandmother, Bobbie Freeman; aunt, Donna Freeman; cousins, Matt Ridings and Toby Ridings; Janet Fife, Shelley Conway Hilliard, Audrey Roy, Dally Ray Baird, and Jamie Otis.
