Diane Dangel

Ruby Diane Dangel, 51, of Gladewater, TX passed away July 30, 2016 at home with her family following a courageous battle with cancer. Diane was born August 12, 1964 to Douglas and Carolyn Lawson of Spiro, OK. She moved to Gladewater in 1979.

Diane met her husband Leeroy in 1983. They made Gladewater their home where they raised a beautiful family. Diane was a wonderful wife, mother, Oma and friend. Diane never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. Those who knew her, would say she was a true friend.

She is survived by her husband Leeroy, daughter Heather Overman and her husband David; Samantha Bowden and her husband Jesse; son Eric Dangel and his wife Katey; 5 grandchildren all of Gladewater. Mothers; Carolyn Jenkins of Gladewater and Elfriede Dangel of Longview. Siblings; George Lawson of Gladewater, David Lawson of Oklahoma, Gayle Simper of Arizona, and Annie Lawson of Oklahoma along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Diane is preceded in death by her fathers; Douglas Lawson, Egon Dangel and Richard Jenkins; grandmothers Ruby Hill and Georgia Lawson; grandfathers Henry Hill and George Lawson.

Funeral services for Diane will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the funeral home for a time of visitation.
