Frances Ruby Jacobs Dickerson

Mrs. Dickerson was born on September 21, 1944 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Ben and Ruby Lea Jacobs. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and loved having her family and her dogs around her. She married Donald Ray Dickerson on August 21, 1974 in Marshall, TX, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2012.

She is survived by two sons-Randy DeWayne Dickerson of Dallas, and William Frank Dickerson of Longview; one daughter-Debra Ann coup and her husband Charles of Longview; Three brothers-Tommy Jacobs of Louisiana, Lonnie Jacobs and his wife Bobbie of Shreveport, and Billy Jacobs also of Shreveport; Three Sisters-Katherine Dickerson and her husband Glen of Shreveport, Joyce Jordan of Shreveport, and Sherry Hale and her husband Tim of Calhoun, LA.; and her two dogs-Baby Girl and Sissy Girl. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters-Betty and Jerline; and one grandson-Michael.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, TX with Rev. Jim Rust officiating. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
