Funeral services for Jack D. Offield, 92, of Ore City, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Jack was born February 16, 1925, in Dickens, Texas to Joe and Oena Youngblood Offield, and passed away July 18, 2017 in Longview, Texas.
Mr. Offield proudly served his country in World War II, in the U.S. Army Air Corps, stationed in North Africa. He loved working, mowing, brush hogging, and taking a chew. He loved his church family, and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Oena Offield, his wife, Ocie Offield, his sister, Hazel Offield, and a son, Lloyd El Offield.
Jack is survived by two sons and their wives, Richard and Becky Offield and Bruce and Mary Lou Offield. Grandchildren, Doug Offield, Charles Edward Offield, Terri Hall, Kellie Canright, Amy Sustaire, Daniel Offield, and Angela Thomas, along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
