Ms. Joan Barton, 74, born January 13, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, to Roscoe and Estelle Franks, passed from this life on May 1, 2011 in Grapevine, Texas. Joan received her Bachelor Degree in Home Economics from Ohio State University. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, and other creative Hobbies.
Joan is preceded in death by her Parents; husband Leslie Smith Sr., and a son Doug Gwynn. She is survived by her daughter Susan Gwynn-Collins and husband Michael; grandson Cooper Collins, and granddaughter Natalie Gwynn.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Lakeview Funeral home, with funeral services being held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of the usual floral contributions, please make contributions to the Chronic Disease Fund or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
