Jody Wayne Hester

Jody Hester was born on January 21, 1938 in Pittsburg, Texas to Jewel P. Hester and Jewell Christine Quinn Hester. Jody married Marie Jones in 1960 and they have been married for 63 years. Jody worked as a welder and as a pipefitter for Flint Energy Services. Jody’s interests and hobbies include hunting, fishing, and attending car shows.

Jody was preceded in death by his parents Jewel and Jewell Hester; brother, Eugene Hester; sister, Lillian Shrum; and his son Tommy Hester.

Jody is survived by his wife Marie Hester; daughter, Tina Strickland and son-in-law Allen Strickland; son, Terry Hester and wife Onna Hester; grandchildren Jodi Hicks, Emmie Hester, Wayne Hester, Kimberly Khan, Natalie Powell, Toni DeRouen, and Steven DeRouen; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Khan, Paxton Khan, Mia Hicks, Tommy Hester, Aerilyn Hester, Raelyn Hester and Olivia Powell.

A time of visitation with his family for Jody will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 W. Harrison Road, Longview, TX 75604.
