

She was born September 30, 1927, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Wesley A. Ramsey and Cleo Rogers Ramsey. Joyce was a member of Danville Methodist Church.
She lived her life serving others. Joyce would make teddy bears and toys for children with Aids, donate time to local groups for individuals with alcoholism and Aids and make cards and care packages for soldiers, just to name a few. Her hobbies included cooking and crocheting for others.
Joyce was welcomed home by her parents, Wesley and Cleo Ramsey; her husband, E.W. "Skeet" Hardy; sons, James Hardy and Wayne Caver; aunt, Serena Jones; and sister, Beulah Cherry.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Joyce Ann Caver; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Rice; nieces, Sandra Werchan and Sally Eddy; nephews, Gary and Wesley Cherry and Keith Werchan; and great-nieces, Laura Bergeron, Stacey Guidry and Sarah Foman; and a host of friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview Texas. The viewing will be noon-1:30 p.m. today, January 8, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Kilgore City Cemetery in Kilgore Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be given to the East Texas Angel Network.
