Larry Wayne Chumley

Larry Wayne Chumley, 63, of Pollok, Texas, passed away October 19, 2015 at his residence in Pollok. He was born March 22, 1952 in Longview to Gerald H. and Catherine Rose Chumley. Larry spent the majority of his life in the care of his family and various state supported schools. He was definitely loved by his family and those that cared for him. He enjoyed receiving gifts, listening to his music, wearing rings, watches, and ties, no matter what kind of shirt he happened to be wearing. He especially enjoyed visiting. Whether it was with family, friends or the staff at the school, he enjoyed sharing his time and his stories with others.

Larry is survived by his brother: Steve Chumley and his wife Diane of Cypress, TX; niece: Amy Welch and her husband Richard of Tatum, TX; nephew: Phillip Chumley and his wife Ashley of Plano, TX; niece Candice Rodriquez an her husband Tony of Lincoln, NE; as well as a number of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Galyon Frank Chumley.

Graveside services to honor Larry’s memory will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, Texas with Chaplain Greg Freijo officiating.
