He was born on September 7, 1942 in Houston, Texas, to Uriah Cedric Watlington and Francis Lovelace. He was raised in Houston, Texas, and attended Sam Houston High School. Later, Uriah joined the Navy in 1959. He married Emily Dyanne on October 11, 1965, and together, the couple had 2 children. Uriah was a machinist outside of his military service, and in his spare time enjoyed gardening, nature and animals and learning about them on National Geographic, talking smack and arguing, and also taking naps. His friends and family will always remember him as being a know-it-all!
Uriah is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dyanna, and son Rickey.
He is survived by his: sister, JoAnn Eickenhorst; daughter, Celeste Watlington; grandsons, Justin (Heather) Watlington, Robert (Ginny) Watlington, Alex (Emaleigh) Watlington; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; various nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones.
