Eleazar Torres, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in La Mirada on November 15, 2025, at the age of 54, following a courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer. He was surrounded by the love and comfort of his family during his final moments.
Born on August 13, 1971, in Mexico City to Daniel and Delia Torres, Eleazar came to the United States at a young age while his parents served as missionaries. Their dedication to faith and family shaped the foundation of the man he would become—a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Eleazar met the love of his life, Lisa, in his youth. Though life took them in different directions for a time, fate brought them together once more at her quinceañera. It was there that he fell deeply in love, later asking for her hand in marriage and beginning a beautiful life together.
A proud and loving father of four, Eleazar cherished every moment spent with his children. His greatest joy was simply being with his family—whether attending church, enjoying movie nights, sharing meals out together, or cheering on his favorite football team.
Eleazar dedicated 32 years of hard work and loyalty to Solar Turbines, where he grew not only in skill but in leadership, ultimately becoming a respected supervisor. His colleagues remember him as hardworking, steady, and compassionate.
Eleazar is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Torres; his four children, Janelle Jimenez, Drew, Amber, and Danelia Torres; his two grandchildren, Ren and Aurora Jimenez Torres; and his son-in-law, Pedro Jimenez. His legacy lives on in the love he poured into his family, the values he instilled, and the memories they will carry forward.
Eleazar’s life was a testament to enduring faith, deep love, and quiet strength. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
