Esequiel Angel Barcena was born on September 11, 1972, in Los Angeles, CA to Raymunda & Esequiel Barcena. Angel is an amazingly sweet and gentle soul. He was thoughtful, he was compassionate, he was happy, and he absolutely loved to give hugs. His smile would take up his entire face. He had a strong personality and sarcasm but most of all, Angel was tender and loving inside. He had the best laugh; it was so infectious.
Angel was an accomplished “Jack of all Trades”. He was always helping and making sure his parents were okay. He enjoyed working and doing projects to improve himself. One thing Angel loved was sports cars. He was fascinated with cars.
Growing up in Glendale, Angel enjoyed spending time with his sister, Monica at Pacific Park, swimming, riding their bikes or just hanging out playing with friends. As a teenager, he loved spending time with his cousin’s whether it was eating McDonalds, ATV riding in San Felipe and Rosarito, camping-out for the New Year’s Parade in Pasadena, dancing at family house parties or just hanging out cruising.
As he got older, Angel spent a lot of his time with his Mom and Dad. He enjoyed eating tacos and having lunch at Las Tres Palmas with his mom “aka his Homie”. He loved his mom’s spaghetti, pozole and birria. Angel would spend a lot of time with his Dad sitting around watching television.
Angel loved his brother, Rigoberto. He always watched over his little brother.
Angel loved his niece, Michel’le and his great nephew, Ethan. They were his pride and joy.
At the age of 48, Our beloved Angel passed away to be with our loved ones in Heaven on
December 14, 2020.
Mom, Dad, Monica, Rigo, Michel’le and your entire Family and Friends will forever Love and Miss You, Angel. May you rest in peace, fly your wings extremely high and watch over us in Heaven, until we meet you again one day. We Love you sweet Angel.
