Lucille Burg HUBBELL
1 April, 1946 – 19 March, 2021
Lucille Burg Hubbell, a longtime resident of Brentwood, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021, at the age of 74. Lucy was born on April 1, 1946, in the Crescent Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. She graduated in 1964 from Hollywood’s Fairfax High School.
Lucy loved music and dancing. Shortly after graduating she became a dancer on the Sunset Strip at world famous night clubs like Gazzarri’s and the Whiskey A Go Go. Lucy was once featured on a massive Sunset Boulevard billboard promoting Gazzarri’s that was seen by thousands of passersby.
Lucy loved animals as well and worked as a veterinarian assistant at Doctor’s Pet Hospital, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Richard C. Hubbell. They bonded over their love of animals, fine dining, and travel. Together they enjoyed golfing at the Bel Air Country Club and socializing at the Bel Air Bay Club.
Lucy will also be remembered for her energy, style, and love of flowers. She delighted in picking flowers to create informal bouquets and arrangements for her home.
Lucy is survived by her husband Richard; her daughter Chrissy Braibanti and her husband Mark of Los Angeles; her twin brother Dennis Burg and older brother Michael Burg; and her two grandchildren, Ella and Lucy. Visitation will be held on what would have been her 75th birthday: Thursday, April 1, from 12:30-3pm, at the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1218 Glendon Ave, Los Angeles, CA. So sorry to hear that Lucy has left this life. I've known Lucy since Fairfax High school. She was my sisters Best friend and we all use to hang out together, going to the Beach, and shopping at our favorite discount clothing stores. We use to have a Blast together. Lucy was high energy and I loved that about her.
Good by my wonderful teenage friend, you made being a teenager fun.

To be with Lucy was always a vicarious thrill. She was so vivacious, kind, beautiful, elegant, and a woman's woman to chat and exchange thoughts with. We shared our pregnancies and time as our daughters grew up. Though life's demands later separated us, I often thought of Lucy, Richard and Chrissy in the intervening years. RIP, my dear Lucy.

I met LUCY, when I was hired, at age19, as a front desk attendendent, at Doctor's Pet Hospital in 1969. I may have even been 18+. She and I became very good friends! I remember we'd laugh so hard when people's dogs looked like the owners! I was fired one day, accused of stealing money from the cash register. Lucy was very upset and sad about that, after neary a yr. of working together. We went on to be friends, still and went to such Clubs as the Bombay Bicycle Club, one time
together. She met Richard, a few yrs.later, and they got married! Lucy and I became pregnant at same time!
Chrissy was born two wks. before Steven was born. We got them together as babies, with my two eldest son's, for a picnic at the local Parahansa
Yogananda Indian Worship Gardens in
mid 1984. As we got more busy in our households, and I lived in Simi Va.,Ca. - about a hr. Away, I didn't make any future drives to Santa Monica, to see her, which I regret. Nor did she come to see me in my town. BUT WE ALWAYS TALKED ON PHONE AND stayed ACTIVE IN SENDING CARDS AT BD'S and at Christmas. I loved to joke her on her BD, every April Fool's Day. She loved being a Mother and a wife. She was blessed with good social skills and enjoyed many friends, which she found along life's sojourn. I admired her charismatic personality, and learned to be less shy in studying her manner. 🤗She was a very pretty blonde, with a killer figure! I, a few yrs. Younger, was the tall slender redhead! We had a wonderful friendship over the many years of time. We will all know her again in the God Family. I know she is not far, and is full of even more robust energy and learning and admiring flowers there! than this mortal probation can hold. Then the Resurrection of all God's creations, will happen, and families will reunite! God is Love. Love is eternal. ❣️Friends are forever. Pam Lane

Dearest Aunt Lucy,
We will miss your kindness and your grace. How did you never have a hair out of place? Always so stylish and fun. Always hugs round the room for each and everyone. From family dinners and trips to the jewelry mart from BABC to the BACC golf cart. Our fun conversations at night on the phone about all the fun trips - you knew I liked to roam. You were a terrific Aunt. A bright light in my life. We will all miss you greatly. Sending lots of love to Chrissy and Uncle Dick tonight.
With love always,

Dear Lucy, I loved calling you on your birthday to tell you that you were my favorite April Fool!! We shared so many good times, dinners with Our Guys, family events, fashion show luncheons, gal pal "stuff", even a memorable trip Disneyland that my grandsons still talk about. Thank you for all the memories, thank you for the honor of being Chrissy's Godmother, linking our families forever.
You are loved and will be missed by many,. Especially me.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.
