Manuel E Gonzalez, age 97 passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Manuel was born in California and lived in Los Angeles county for 90 years with his wife of over 60 years, Frances. As a mechanic for the Department of Water and power, Manuel raised his family after serving in WWII with the Navy on the USS LST225. In recognition for his service, he received the Asiatic-Pacific Area, American Area and Victory Medal World War II.
Manuel is truly missed by his family who loved him dearly.
A visitation and rosary for Manuel will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2210 Sichel St, Los Angeles, CA 90031. Rosary is scheduled to begin at 5pm. Military Honors will be bestowed at 6:30 pm.
