Margaret Anne Kinderman, 74, passed away peacefully in her home on November 21, 2025, surrounded by members of her beloved chosen family and her fur baby, Harper, after a courageous and unyielding battle with aggressive liver cancer.
Born in Philadelphia, she eventually made her home in Los Angeles, where she built a remarkable 36-year career as a legal secretary at the law firm of Cox Castle & Nicholson. She was dedicated, loyal, and passionate about her work and her love for her job and the people with whom she worked was unsurpassed.
She had a remarkable gift of forming deep, lasting friendships wherever she went. She stayed in touch with so many people she met throughout her life—friends from different chapters, places, and times—always remembering birthdays, checking in, and keeping those connections alive with genuine love. Her circle of friends was wide, loyal, and devoted, a true reflection of the care she poured into every relationship.
She filled her life with things that brought her joy: a good glass of wine, a beloved book, a favorite movie, and conversations and time with close friends. She was fiercely committed to her workouts and staying active – whether training sessions, yoga, or the time she spent on her Peloton tread. She loved to travel, creating new friends, new experiences, and treasured memories wherever she went.
Animals were among her deepest loves. Her devoted cat, Harper, survives her, along with the sweet memories of her other beloved fur babies, Anabelle, Isabelle, and Madison, who passed in recent years but stayed forever in her heart. Harper will be lovingly cared for by friends and family.
Margaret had already fought and overcome cancer once before, living many grateful years in remission. When she received her liver cancer diagnosis in July, she met it with the same quiet strength, grace, and fierce determination that had carried her through so much of her life. Even as her illness progressed, she remained deeply connected to the people she loved, sharing her humor, her stubborn spark, and her unwavering affection until the very end.
She left this world the same way she lived in it—surrounded by love, wrapped in the care of family she chose, and remembered for her generosity, her humor, her loyalty, and the unwavering devotion she extended to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be missed more deeply than words can express
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
