He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. He was a Cardiologist and practiced medicine for over 60 years.
Muzaffer was a compassionate and sincere man who enjoyed writing poetry, singing and portraiture drawing. He appreciated the beauty of nature and gardening his fruits and vegetables. He was brave and adventurous and was always curious to learn new things. He spent hours listening to Turkish and classical music and his favorite classical composers were Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. Friendly and unpretentious, he attracted many friends who admired his integrity and selfless character. He was a connoisseur of good food and drink and loved very much being in the company of his cherished family and friends.
He will be remembered and was known by some of his sayings, "Do your Best and Forget about the Rest", "Everyone is My Friend until They Prove Otherwise" and "Humanity with Sanity, from Here to Eternity."
Muzaffer is survived by; sons Alex, a Physician and Alp, a Commercial Real Estate Broker; grandsons Alexander, the oldest son of Alex, and Alan, the youngest; and a 90 year old sister.
Muzaffer was preceded in death in 2001 by his beloved wife, Rosa Maria Aslan, who was a social worker. They were married on November 14,1953 in New York City and were wed for 47 1/2 years. He was also preceded in death by his father Ali Galip Aslan, mother Huri Nur Aslan, a bother and a sister.
A memorial service for Muzaffer will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1:00PM, at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, California, with an entombment to follow. The service will be officiated by Pastor Richard Bowman.
