Petra B. Rodriguez was born November 18, 1924 in San Miguel Del Alto, Jalisco, Mexico to
Rosendo Becerra and Maria del Refugio Huerta. She is survived by her three children Lupe,
Ignacio, and Estela Stachowitz, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great
grandchildren, and one sister, Guadalupe Diaz. She immigrated to the United States in 1955
with her family and resided in the city of Los Angeles for 65 years. Petra worked as a factory
worker and seamstress, becoming a forewoman twice. She was a devout Catholic Christian
and served as a member of the Guadalupanos at her parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
in Lincoln Heights, Petra was the matriarch of her family. She was a single mother, a strong
woman of faith, and loved by her family and friends. She joined her three brothers Martinano,
Febronio, Feliz, two sisters Francisca and Carmen Teresa, niece Carmen Teresa, nephew
Martin, and grandson Adrian when she entered eternal life on Sunday, September 27,2020
at the young age of 95.
