

Born on 9/14/1926 in Sulphur, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016 in Arroyo Grande, California.
Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mida Marie Fox and by his oldest son Guy Fox.
He is survived by his older brother, Leonard, two sons, Roy and Dan, and by many grand children and great grand children.
Calvin was born September 14, 1926 in Sulphur, Oklahoma the youngest of four children. A child of the Great Depression and of World War II, Calvin spent the war years in the shipyards of Vancouver, Washington. There he met Mida Marie Thomas. They were married November 28, 1945, a marriage that lasted for 51 years until Mida’s death in 1996.
Calvin and Mida moved to Hanford in the San Joaquin Valley and from there to the Central Coast. They raised three sons: Guy, Roy, and Dan.
Calvin enjoyed working with industrial machines and took great pride in the production of a quality product. He retired from his career in production at The Okonite Company in Santa Maria in 1989.
Retirement allowed Calvin to hone his golf skills achieving three verified “holes in one” on local golf courses. He enjoyed golfing until the end.
Calvin was also a skilled fisherman. A regular at Lopez Lake he was particularly appreciative of the beautiful creation that surrounded him at Lopez.
Calvin regularly participated in the Christian ministry as a “fisher of men” (Matthew 4:19). Even in his latter years he aided others to gain an accurate knowledge of God’s Word.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Calvin to be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1279 S. 13th St., Grover Beach, February 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
