

Catherine Elizabeth Huttle (Kay) passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 30, 1924, she was the daughter of John and Martha Bell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Bell of Denver, CO. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Frank Joseph Huttle, son Robert Huttle (Darrylin) of San Luis Obispo, daughter Judith Gould (Daniel) of Wilmington, NY; Grandchildren Joshua Huttle (Julia), Emily Young (David), Mckay Huttle (Sabath), Jenny Macartney Gross (James), Malia Macartney, Aaron Gould (Zenda), Aimee Conlee (Thomas) and 13 great grandchildren. Kay always put her family first. She was known for her kindness, wit, devotion to friends, New York accent, beautiful skin (even at age 92) and twinkling blue eyes. She worked for AT & T in New York City from 1942 to 1949. She and Frank and family relocated from Long Island, NY to San Diego in 1955. They made their home in La Mesa the center of gatherings for family and friends. Kay was a stay at home Mom until 1969 when she was employed by Bank of America, retiring in 1986. Kay and Frank relocated to San Luis Obispo in 2014. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Kay’s “Angels on Earth” Martha Garcia, Anakaren Godoy, Guadalupe Martinon and Noemi Perez. Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Wednesday, July 5 at 11:00 am at Los Osos Memorial Park Chapel. Reception will follow. Interment will be at a later date.
