Patricia Joan Sandt 87, of Morro Bay passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024. She was born February 3, 1937, in Glendale, CA, the daughter of Harry and June Hanlon. Patricia was raised and educated in Sunland/Tujunga, and graduated from Glendale High School in 1954.
She married her high school sweetheart - Walter Sandt on November 5, 1955, and together they raised four daughters in Simi Valley, CA. She was lovingly and affectionately given the nickname “Hun” by her husband, and it wasn’t long before everyone in the neighborhood also referred to her as “Hun”.
After retiring as a respiratory therapist in 1994, Walt and Pat moved to Morro Bay CA.
Patricia was an active member of the Quota International Club of Morro Bay and was president in 2006. She helped organize many fundraisers and charity events for her community and was awarded Quotarian Of The Year for Outstanding Service 2010-2011.
Patricia was an accomplished seamstress and quilter in her spare time and loved to cook and bake for her family.
She was a deeply devoted wife and a loving mother.
As a result of her genuine and caring spirit and quick wit, she was loved by all who knew her.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives she leaves behind - her husband: Walter Sandt, her daughters: Linda ( John ) Manchester, Dawn Sandt Lima, Susie ( Mike ) Giboney, and Barbara Neumann, her grandchildren: Eric ( Michelle ) Sterkel, Andie & Carley Lima, Madelynn, Noah & Grace Giboney, Monica ( Ty ) McGrath, Heather, Emily, Matthew and Isabella Neumann, her great-grandchildren: Logan and Raiden Sterkel, Faye, Rowan and Lyla McGrath, her older brother: Walt Hanlon, and younger sister Denise Hanlon Little, and all her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and June Hanlon, and sister-in-law Brenda Hanlon Stephens.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
