Alice E. Blum, 84, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Baptist Health. She was born October 29, 1931 in Louisville, KY to the late Cornealus and Anita Schmitt Kirch. She was a Catholic in faith and enjoyed her cats but most importantly she was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Blum, children: Richard F. Jr., Tina Marie and Mark Stephen, and her sister, Carolyn Zipperle.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dennis (Ruth), two grandsons: Matthew (Abbie) and Michael, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Baptist Health Palliative Care and every one of Hosparus.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Edward Church, 9608 Sue Helen Drive, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation Wednesday from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
