Alice was born on October 2, 1938 in Louisville, to the late George Watters and Marcella Straub Waterbury. Alice will always be remembered for her love of animals and gardening. She prided herself in taking care of her family and adored her fur babies; Pixie and Molly are still here and Abbie, Nickie, April, Maty and Phoebe are playing with her in Heaven.
Her beautiful memory will be carried on through her husband of 55 years, James T. Paxton, Jr.; children, Mark Waterbury, Vicki Lurker (Charles) and Christina Paxton; grandchildren, Christopher Thornton (Viviam), Matthew Waterbury, Alicia Routon (Josh) and Grace Paxton; and her great grandchildren, Lindsay Thornton, Trevor Routon, Katie Routon, Noah Routon and Nathan Waterbury.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 11-2pm on Saturday, January 4th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. We will be celebrating Alice’s life beginning at 2pm on Saturday, and she will be laid to rest privately in Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family kindly suggest that expressions of sympathy be made to the KY Humane Society in her memory.
