

Alma Irene Crask Jacobs, 91, of Louisville, passed away on the morning of July 28, 2013, at Baptist Health Louisville surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Columbia, KY, and the former Alma Aaron. She had worked for The Home of the Innocents and was a Christian woman. She was a lifetime member of the former Colonial Terrace Baptist Church, a gardener who had a green thumb like no other. She was a great cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family on get-togethers and holidays. Alma was also a crafter and loved making braided rugs. But the loves of her life were her girls and son. There was nothing better than spending time with her children, grand and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce (Larry) Dauenhauer, Carol (Ronnie) Huckleberry, Marie (Richard) Moore, Judy (Dennis) Huckleberry, Nancy (Auston) Henson and Jimmy (Linda) Crask; brother, Carl (Dottie) Aaron; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildern.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at noon, at the Arch L. Heady at Westport Village Chapel, 7410 Westport Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the Hospice staff at Baptist for all of their care and support not only to their Mother, but to them as well .
It was said, that "every child should be blessed to have a grandma like her".
