Anne Meyer, 76 of Louisville, passed away May 1, 2014. Born in Mayfield Kentucky to the late Thomas and Olive Kirkby Hicks, Anne was a retired registered nurse, and a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, and the Nimble Thimble sewing group. Ms. Meyer is survived by her two daughters, Katie (John) Hernandez, and Lee Alice Anderson, two grandchildren Zack and Amanda, sister; Alice (Jim) Tittle and nephew; Kirk (Stephanie) Tittle. Ms. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Jamie Tittle.
Anne was a woman of many interests and activities, she was a lifelong student, currently participating in a community bible study, and she was an avid quilter, gardener, bird watcher, political follower and church member. She believed in the joy of life and shared that with everyone she met. She participated in many ministries throughout her life; spiritual, medical, financial and personal. She found her life calling in nursing and practiced its many aspects up until the end.
Anne was a long time resident of Los Osos and Cambria California. She had moved back to Louisville 2 years ago--kicking the whole time-- to be closer to her family. Not a day went by that she didn't miss all of her wonderful friends in California. She very much appreciated all the continued love and support from her friends after she got sick. One of her greatest regrets was not getting back there to say good-bye.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service for Ms. Meyer will be, 6pm Wednesday may 7th at St. Albans Episcopal Church, 9004 Beulah Church Rd., Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
