She was a former employee of UPS for 19 years in management, a devoted Easter Seals of Louisville volunteer and a member of Highview Baptist Church. She attended the Women's Bible Study class and also attended Wesleyan University. She lived a positive and enthusiastic life.
She is preceded in death by her father, John W. Kimbro.
She will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Brooke Hatfield; mother, Margie Juanita Burdette; sisters, Phyllis Santos-Sauer (Dale), Loretta Riggs (Michael); brothers, John Lester Kimbro (Kathy), Thomas Kimbro (Patsy); and numerous other relatives and friends.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the James Graham Brown Cancer Research Center or to Easter Seals of Louisville.
