Barbara was born June 18, 1932 in Frankfort, Kentucky to William & May Duvall. She married her husband “soulmate” Milo Jack Capsel in 1953 and spent 58 years in a wonderful marriage.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was an army wife for 20 years, calling herself a gypsy, as they moved frequently during those years and finally settling in Louisville, Kentucky in 1966. Her greatest love aside from her family was to travel. She and her husband Jack, traveled the world. When she wasn’t travelling she was entertaining family, neighbors and friends for holidays and special occasions. She was so excited having Derby Brunch in 2021!
Barbara’s home was open to everyone. You never had to call or knock! Coffee was always ready. She was the best listener and friend anyone could ask for. She cared for others and would put them before herself out of love and kindness. If you didn’t have a mom or a friend, she was there for you.
Barbara will be missed by so many people. God definitely received an angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and May Duvall; her husband and 'soul mate' Milo Jack Capsel; sisters, Ann Crowe, and Agnes Underwood; brothers, Tom and John Duvall.
She is survived by daughter, Terri Hays (Lisa); son, Tracy Capsel (Nancy); grandchildren, Jamie Valdes, Justin Brown, Jeff Brown, and Connor and Sam Capsel; great grandchildren, Dominic, Ashlyn, Isabel and Guiliana. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces, Laura Thompson, Sara Combs, Barbara Powell, Theresa Hayes, Lisa Cox, and her nephew Tom Underwood.
