My deepest condolences to the family. I last saw Bobbie and Ed on election day when I took my mother to vote. She talked with her and I for awhile, catching up and reminiscing. I always respected Bobbie and all of her accomplishments. She will be missed. Donna Young Kays

Bobbie was my boss from 1999-2007, and she was my friend. She recruited me as her Director of public relations and spokesperson when she first became the County Clerk’s. She introduced me to public service. 

Bobbie was kind, warm-hearted, and dedicated to giving all residents VIP service at the County Clerk’s Office. She was a shining example of a great leader who effectively served as an accountable steward of public trust and resources.

Bobbie enjoyed, and made a big deal out of, receiving a Groundhog Day card from me. She thought it odd and amusing that someone would send her a Groundhog Day card. The one year I missed sending her a card, she called me before the day ended. I sent it within the hour electronically. So, let the record show that from 1999-2025, Bobbie received a Groundhog Day card from me. I found joy in sending the card to her - a simple tradition that came to symbolize our friendship.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working for Bobbie Holsclaw. She was an incredible mentor who has a profound impact on my life. I will never forget how she believed in my abilities and gave me the chance to translate for the Hispanic community, allowing me to serve the people of the very city she loved. Her trust and support meant the world to me, and I will always remember her kindness and commitment to others. Ress Easy Bobbie.

I would like to send my prayers and condolences to the family and friends  of Mrs . Holsclaw . She is a  loving , beautiful , classy , intelligent, woman of valor . Mrs . Bobbie hired me and gave me a chance to have a career . I worked with her several years in the Lien Department . We worked hard and shared many  laughs and memories with an awesome team . I would always see Mrs . Bobbie at 810 Barrett  Ave and she always had her beautiful smile and made the  time to see how I was doing and vice versa . I always supported our Deputy  clerk and went outside party lines  to vote for her because of her integrity, leadership , organization and love for all citizens regardless of their  race , gender  or disability , etc .  I would to thank you for sharing your wife , mother, grandmother with the citizens and the state of Kentucky . Rest in peace our beautiful Angel ! Glory to God ! #Woman of Valor ❤️🙏🏾❤️

Ms. Bobbie, it's your squeaky wheel, Karen. My heart is broken and I never thought I would be writing a condolence because you were simply larger than life. You were my mentor, a force to be reckoned with and that reckoning was based on integrity, ethical conduct with an understanding what it means to be a deputy clerk with the county clerk's office. Your absence is profound. We are continuing with your legacy and keeping our heads in the game because you would expect nothing less. I want to thank her family for sharing her with us. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the Holsclaw family.  Blake, I have great memories of the times I spent at your house when we were kids, I wish you all the best.

As an election worker for over ten years, I was always aware of Bobbie Holsclaw’s contributions and ongoing presence as a public servant. Much sympathy to her family and friends.

On behalf of the WHAS Crusade for Children, we are very sorry for your loss. It is people like Bobbie who have made it possible for the Crusade to help children with special needs for over 70 years. Thank you for honoring her memory by remembering the WHAS Crusade for Children. Bobbie's legacy will be seen for years to come through the lives of children who are helped. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Ms. Bobbie in 2021 when she came to French Plaza in search of space for new offices and  a Voting site.
She was gracious as she surveyed the space and decided to lease it.  Her decision was a blessing for Shawnee and my family business.

My sister Eileen, a democrat , who worked for Bobbie at election headquarters, dearly loved Bobbie as her boss and as a friend. I met her myself when she came with Eileen to a Bingo at Highland Post. I personally owed her a debt of gratitude when I took my disabled husband to get his handicapped sticker renewed. Before Bobbie took office, the wait many times was 2 hours. After Bobbie took over, the wait was never more than 15 minutes. She had totally organized that place and she was a delight to everyone who met her.  She was loved by both democrats and republicans and that is a special feat!

Mrs. Holsclaw was a public servant in the highest tradition. She served with integrity, honesty and dignity. She streamlined the Jefferson County Clerk's Office and brought it into the 21st Century. As Chairperson of the Jefferson County Board of Elections, she ushered in the electronic age during the 2020 General Election (which was held during the Covid-19 pandemic) and in doing, made Louisville the model of the nation for ease of voting. It was my honor and privilege to have met her many times during my service as an election official. She always made time to visit polling stations throughout the county, encouraging the workers and thanking us for a job well done. I doubt that we will ever she her like again.

I worked with Bobbie at the Clerk’s Office for many years.  She was a beautiful spirit and a true servant leader.  She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

She was a woman of class, grace, beauty, intelligence and integrity.

I was so sorry to hear of Bobbies passing.  I worked as a poll worker and had met her on several occasions.  She was so kind and lovely.  I voted for her every time because she made a difference.  She wasn't just another politician, she cared about people.  I will miss her.

I was always impressed with the efficiency of the clerk's office and kindness of the employees. I would leave the office saying to myself, I will always vote for Bobbie. Sorry to hear of her passing.

I will never forget my times growing up and spending time at carnivals and eating at restaurants I loved those time's.  Love forever Greg.
