A WW II Navy Veteran, Bernie worked for 26 yrs at Fawcett Printing Co. and 18 yrs. at Kendall-Cralle Real Estate Co as manager of Southview Apartments. Mr. Carr was a member of the Lyhurst UCC Church, Moose Lodge #5 and the American Legion Post #201.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara McCleavy Carr; his sons, Daryl (Linda), Nick (Petronella), and Bruce (Laura); nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Lucille Craig.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday 4pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11am until 8pm.
