Betty Jean Hale

Born to the late Leonard and Calista Wainscott, Betty is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Cooper Hale; their daughter Linda Hale Frasier; grandchild Cory Thalman; siblings Lillian Wainscott, Leonard Wainscott, Don Wainscott, and Mary Alice Ayres.

Here to carry on her memory are her daughters, Brenda Hale McDade and Tamara Hale Russell (Michael); grandchildren Brian Frasier, Bethany Frasier, Christian Russell, Rebekka Russell, Tommy McDade, and Kaitlyn Russell; great-grandchildren Cooper Russell, Bryson Pryor, Jackson Thalman, Memphis Thalman, Landon Pryor, Knox Moore, Sydney Russell and Lucy Russell; and a host of extended family and friends.

Betty played the organ at the church for nearly 20 years and sang in the choir. A retired school teacher, Betty taught piano. She loved to travel with her beloved Gene, paint and sew. She was also a wonderful cook, mother, and nana.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service in Betty's honor will begin on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Owenton Cemetery, Owenton KY.
