She was born, March 10, 1937 to the late; Arthur F. and Angie May Gilkey Stromire. She was a graduate of Ursurline Academy, and was a devout Catholic.
She was married to the love of her life, Jack Weber for over 40 years till he passed in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her sister; Shirley Tapp, and her grand-daughter, Casey Ann Hammond.
Betty loved to garden, and was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, nana, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her only child; Cindy Hammond and her husband Phillip of Simpsonville, KY, her 2 adoring grand-sons; Taylor and Tyler Hammond, and her 2 nieces and nephew, and a very special friend who helped care for her the last 2 yrs., Rosie Lasley.
Services to Celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 10 am Thursday in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 pm Wednesday, and after 9 am Thursday.
