Karen, Steve and Suzanne, we are so saddened to learn of your father's passing. We remember the wonderful times where we were all in New Haven and the visits through the years at various locations around the U.S..  Your Dad and Mom were special people to us!

My condolences to Bill's family.  When I was with the Transportation Cabinet, I enjoyed working with Bill on the TARC light rail project and have enjoyed talking with him at events and when I would see him out since then.  I attended graduate school at Speed with Karen and am sorry that I only recently heard of his passing and was unable to attend the visitation.

I am so sorry about Bill's death and to have missed the opportunity let you know more personnally.  I only met him once..and yet what an inmpact he made!  He and Peggy spent a day volunteering at Neighborhood House (NH) and he told me about his childhood experiences at NH.  I had hoped for many opportunities for visit after that, but they moved to FL shortly after that introduction.  I would have loved the opportunity to know him better.  It's a gift to read what others have written.  We appreciate the gifts to Neighborhood House in his honor and memory.  I'm touched by that thoughtfulness.

What a wonderful man Uncle Billy Joe was.  My earliest memory was at my Granny's funeral (his sister) and he kept us kids entertained by showing us magic tricks.  Although I haven't seen him in many years we kept in touch through facebook.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Bill was one of the good guys:  he always had his eye on the ball, was always willing to pitch in on a team project and always with a big, impish smile.

We were next door neighbors for 22 years.  A wonderful leagacy are his chilrdren and grandchildren.

Bill and Sue and then Bill and Peggy were wonderful people and neighbors.

I've known Bill for almost 40 years.  He was a icon of traffic engineering, local and nationally. Bill was always the teacher and paved the way for more than one generation of traffic engineers.

Personally, he was my teacher, confidant, mentor and friend. I will  miss BJ but will never forget him. And, I hope to meet my teacher again when "I have crossed the bar."

I knew Bill for more than 30 years and he was a great professional mentor and personal friend. I was very saddened to hear of his sudden passing and will always remember him.  

I have so many wonderful memories of Bill and his family while living in Louisville and Bill and Sue's visits with us in Arizona.

I've only known Bill for the last 20+ years and he was the only person I know who could talk about U of K and U of L with the same enthusiasm! Well... at least with me. He will be missed.

Many, many years ago I worked with Bill for an engineering firm.  Our birthday was on the same month and day and we would celebrate by splitting a hostess cupcake.   Peace be with the family.  I am sure he will be so, so very missed!

.Bill was more than my boss, he was a friend to all of his employees at Air Pollution Control. I will always respect him. He was a good and caring person, he encouraged me so much more than he knew. I last saw him when Sue passed; I never ever forgot about him. God Bless his soul, and I will see him in heaven one day. My prayers goes out to his family.
