

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, Carl A. Ebert, loving father of three, passed away at age 83. Carl was born on August 9, 1938 in Louisville, KY to Karl and Lillian (Steinrock) Ebert. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1956 and received a business degree from Bellarmine College in 1960. After college he served one term as a photographer for the Air National Guard and worked for E.I. DuPont where he retired after 43 years of loyal service.
Carl was an avid bowler, runner, and dancer. He was a member of the Cherokee Roadrunner’s Club and for years served as the Secretary of his PeeWee Reese bowling league. In his spare time Carl was a professional wedding photographer and enjoyed playing golf, along with club dancing into his later years.
Carl was preceded in death by his father Karl, mother Lillian and brother Jimmy. He is survived by his three children, Mark Ebert, Susan Spayd (Keith), and Steven Ebert; grandchildren, Alex Ebert, Cullen Ebert, Sam Spayd, Lilly Spayd and Whitney Edwards; siblings, Sylvia Ebert and John Ebert.
Services will take place on August 24th at Arch L Heady Funeral Home at 8519 Preston Highway. Visitation will be from 2pm-6pm with memorial service from 6pm-7pm. A graveside service will be held for family the following day.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent in the form of donations to the Crusade for Children.
