

Carlita C. Canfield, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2025, in Louisville, KY, at the age of 95. Born on April 18th, 1930, in Covington, KY, Carlita's life was a testament to the enduring power of care and compassion that she extended to everyone around her.
Carlita's journey was shared with her late husband, Dr. Bourbon E. Canfield, and together they navigated both life's joys and sorrows. She was a devoted mother, not only to her children who preceded her in death, Catherine Ann West and Pamela Krupp, but also to her surviving children, R. Kevin West, Patty Johnson, G. Douglas Robinson, Karen Stigler, and Mark Johnson. Carlita's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Adam, Andrea Whitney, McKenna, Andrew, and Amy, along with her many great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them.
A woman of deep faith, Carlita was a dedicated member of Christ Church United Methodist, where she found strength and community. Her commitment to serving others was exemplified through her volunteer work at Kosair Children's Hospital, where her thoughtful presence brought comfort to countless children and families during their most challenging times.
As we bid farewell to Carlita C. Canfield, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she enriched. Her spirit, characterized by a boundless capacity for love, will forever be remembered and cherished.
A visitation for Carlita will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carlita's memory to Kosair Children Hospital and Williamstown Kentucky Baptist Church, Building Renovation Fund, 214 N Main Street, Williamstown, Kentucky 41097.
Carlita will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
