She was born on May 9, 1944, to M.T. Dalton and Marvis Smith.
She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and volunteered with Friends of Ostomates Worldwide (FOW).
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Donald A. Pendleton; her first husband, Marvin Dever, the father of her daughters; and her brother, Mickey Dalton.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Michael Pendleton, David Pendleton, Jim Pendleton, Rhonda Dazley, Laura Lively, Tamatha Dever, Jacquelyn Dever, and Merritt Robinson, along with their spouses. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Pierce; a niece; and two nephews.
Leaving quite the legacy, Carol was blessed with countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many deep and lasting friendships.
Memorial donations may be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville or Friends of Ostomates Worldwide (FOW).
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2025 with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
