

Carol Dinwiddie, born November 18, 1942, passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 83. A hard-working, beloved, and loyal woman, Carol was a cherished presence to those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a resident of Louisville, Kentucky.
Carol was a graduate of Manual High School and Campbellsville College. She pursued education as her major and retired from teaching after 27 years of service with Jefferson County Public Schools. Carol enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends, which later turned into monthly lunches together. She also enjoyed lunch get-togethers with the neighbor ladies, as well as the monthly meetings she and Wayne had with the Southern High School Alumni class. The beach was Carol’s happy place, and she especially loved traveling to Costa Rica and Florida. Smart, funny, and full of life, Carol was a friend for life and was loved by all who knew her.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Sanders; step father, Roger Sanders; sisters, Joyce Triplett and Jane Dunn; and sister-in-law, Donna Cash.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles Wayne Dinwiddie; sister-in-law, Gina Mathis; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 11-2pm, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
