Born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ross and Anna Dewitt. She graduated from Campbellsville High School and worked as an Office Manager at K-Mart.
Carolyn loved and lived for her 2 boys David of North Carolina and Barry of Louisville. Her biggest joy was taking care of and spoiling her sons dog Baxter when her son was working during the days. She was an avid fan of watching college basketball, particularly her Louisville Cardinals & Ky. Wildcats. Carolyn enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors and loved being visited by the neighbors grandkids who affectionately called her mom mom.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Leach, and survived by her sons David and Barry Leach; and granddaughter Aubrie Leach Owens.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 1-2PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will be held immediately after. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
