He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha A. Grubbs.
Charles is survived by his children, Linda Pike (Bobby), Charles Grubbs II (Debbie), Susan Bland (Billy) and Stephen Grubbs. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A funeral to celebrate Charles’ life will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4-8pm.
