

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, December 4, 1927, Charlie was the son of the lates’ Robert Leber and Marguerite Sacrey. He was a retired supervisor for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad and was a member of the Brandenburg Church of Christ. Charlie was also a member of the Handyman Club of America and was a “master of all trades.” He was known for his pristine woodworking abilities, where he won several Blue Ribbons from the Meade County Fair. He was a good man and had a true heart of gold. He loved animals, where he picked up several stray dogs over the years. Charlie also loved to play “Rummy.”
His loving wife Evelyn "Louise" Leber; his parents, Robert and Marguerite Leber; his daughter, Nancy Louise Back; and siblings, Guy Leber and Adele Bratcher, preceded Charlie in his passing.
He leaves behind his children, Ed (Janice) Leber, Terry (Agnes) Leber and Heather (James) Dollar; numerous grandchildren, great – grandchildren; and great – great – grandchildren; siblings, Joyce Odle and Bobby Leber; special caregiver, Sharon Escue; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
A Time of Sharing will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel. Charlie will be laid to rest at a later date in Louisville Memorial Gardens – West. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. also at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel…….. “is it over yet?”
