He leaves this place to join his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanetta Ann (Thompson) Tinsley.
Charles owned several family restaurants where he met life-long friends and retired from LG&E in 1999. His interests included coaching his sons, golfing, fishing, caring for his lawn, and watching westerns. He will be fondly remembered for his whistle; his sons knew it from a mile away and his grandchildren from the songs shared deeply in his heart. He was an adoring Paw Paw to his grandchildren: Kathleen, Kenny Jr., Jacinta and Nicholas Tinsley and Casey Heeter. He especially enjoyed every moment spent with great grandsons, Liam and Jayson Brann.
Also left to cherish his memory are his sons, Charles Jr and Ken (Cathy) Tinsley; sibling, Raymond Tinsley; and many nieces and nephews, in particular, Nicole Rawlings Jones, who he trusted implicitly.
Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with a Christian burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitations will be 2-8 p.m. November 17 and 12-2 p.m. on November 18 at Evergreen Funeral Home.
