He was predeceased by his wife, Mollie Mae and his brother, Paul Phillips.
Chester is survived by his children, Dee (the late Tommy) Langford and Jay (Kathleen) Phillips; grandchildren, Dean Langford, Dawn Baase, Devin Boughey and Blaire Phillips; six great-grandchildren, and sisters, Barbara Phillips and Juanita Phillips.
A celebration of Chester’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
Visitation is from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
