She was a retired kosher cook for Jewish Hospital, a member of South Jefferson Christian Church, where she was involved in the Women’s Circle and Young at Heart groups. She was very active working for the Board of Elections and numerous volunteer activities.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and David Pierce, and a daughter-in-law, Jessica Pierce.
Survivors include daughters Linda Underhill (Robin) and Anna Pierce (David); sons Douglas Pierce (Pam) and Johnny Pierce; daughter-in-law, Glenda Pierce; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm Thursday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hosparus.
