

Charles “Chuck” Leslie Wallace, 89, of Louisville, KY, passed away on April 2nd, 2026, at St. Mary Hospital after a lengthy respiratory illness. He was born in Indianapolis, IN, in 1937 and later moved to Louisville, KY, in 1985 to be with his beloved wife of 43 years and lifetime best friend, Joyce M. Wallace. Chuck served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. He worked for Ready Mix Concrete and retired in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Minnie Mae, and his Father, Ernie Wallace, his brothers Larry Wallace and Cleo Wallace, his sister Ernastine, and his daughter, Shandra Skipper.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Wallace, his daughter, Shonsie Santellana, and his son, Jeffery Cobble. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Emilio Santellana, Hunter Cobble, Savannah Cobble, Remington Cobble, Sara Garcia, and Riley Pfister, his niece and husband, Kelley and Brad McBroom, and daughters Katherine and Jaelyn, and his nephew and wife, Kenney and Darlene Snawder.
He was known for his humor and optimistic outlook on life, and his never-ending love for his family and his lifelong association with all his friends and family of Hanover Beach, IN.
A visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday, April 6th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will resume the next day, Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery.
