

Clarence “Tiny” Henry Zirnheld, 98, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023. Tiny proudly served his country as a Marine, Private First Class, in World War II. He received a Purple Heart for his injuries sustained in Iwo Jima at the base of the raising of the American Flag. In 2019 he flew on the Freedom Honor Flight to visit Washington D.C. to see the monument erected in his honor. He retired from GE as a Tool & Die Maker after 32 years of service. In his spare time he loved woodworking, helping his family, neighbors, and friends. Anything they needed from building things to working on their cars. Tiny could fix anything. Tiny had a heart of gold. He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw and a dear friend to several people. He will be missed by many.
Tiny was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn; and his parents, William and Gertrude Zirnheld. Tiny was the last Zirnheld of his family of 9 siblings. He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, 5 sisters, and his extended family.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Roger Zirnheld (Clara); grandson, Roger Dale Zirnheld Jr.; and several extended family members who Tiny cherished and his dear friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 1pm until 8pm at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy 40219. The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11am. Burial will follow immediately at St. Stephens Cemetery including military honors.
