Claudine Underwood

Underwood, Claudine (Gibson), 95, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017. Claudine was born in Horse Cave, Kentucky to the late Christopher and Isbell (Crain) Gibson. She was fiercely independent, loving, a great sense of humor, and a strong loyalty for family. At a young age, she grew up on a farm in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. As an adult, she worked as a cosmetic merchandiser for Taylor Drug Stores. She was a faithful member to Hurstbourne Baptist Church.

Claudine is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Isbell; her husband, Edgar Underwood; and siblings, Ruby Long Hart, Edwin Long, Doris Gibson Conrad, Paul Gibson, and Marjorie Gibson Vick.

Left behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Douglas Underwood (Ann) and Steven Underwood (Jane Hayes); grandchildren, Andrew Underwood (Tama), Jessica Underwood Burleson (Eric), Sarah Underwood, and Kim Ricca (Brad). Also survived by her great grandchildren, Maggie, Vivi, Emerson, Sarah Jane, Elijah, Ezekiel, and Solideo.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 12:00pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville Kentucky 40218 and will conclude in the chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service.
