Clennie was a retired school teacher who served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
He graduated from Harding University in 1949 and also the University of Louisville in 1965
where he received his Masters degree. Clennie spent most of his adult life preaching the gospel until 1995 and was a member of Church of Christ.
He was the son of Clennie Cloyce Johns and Judson Faulkner. He married Clementine Leona Pound on
September 3, 1949. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2002.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Mark Johns (Becky) and Cindy Johns Roberts (Cameron),
sister Frankie Gay, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 10 am at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial to
follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm Wednesday.
